At 0356 hours the Team was called to assist an 80-year-old male hiker on the north side of Mono Lake who was unable to walk to return to his vehicle. The Team staged at the intersection of Highway 167 and Cottonwood Canyon Road. The subject was able to provide coordinates to his location.
A Mono County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant and a MOSAR team member drove close to the subject’s location, until the dirt road ended, and then walked a short distance to the subject. The subject, escorted by MCSO and MOSAR, was able to walk back to his vehicle. The call was terminated at 0451 hours.
