At 2306 hours, the Team was called to assist two hikers in the vicinity of Deer Lakes who were unprepared for the length of their hike or for the ensuing darkness. Rescue Base was establshed at the Duck Lake trailhead, and 2 field teams went out.
The field teams located the hikers at 0214 hours, provided them with warm clothing and other items, and they came out under their own power, though moving very slowly as they were exhausted from their dayhike. The field teams and the subject arrived at Rescue Base approximately 4 hours later, and the operation was terminated at 0630 hours.
